Polycystic Ovaries

So today I found out I have polycystic ovaries.
I was quite a bit shocked to hear it actually and am still a bit unsure how to feel.

So it all began a few months ago when my periods became a bit unusual. Nothing serious though so I wasn't that worried. They had just changed a bit. . . That happens sometimes so i ignored it.
Then in 2 weeks I put on 3 kilos. Most people wouldn't be concerned about that but being a slim person who NEVER gains weight I started to worry a little. Is it because I'm getting older or something more serious.
So I went to the doctor feeling a little silly and he ran a few tests.
My bloods were all normal but my ultrasound showed 20+ cysts on my left ovary with the biggest being 8mm and 30+ cysts on my right ovary with the biggest being 7mm.
I am shocked because it was completely unexpected! I'm a little sad because it means I may not be able to have any more children.
I am grateful that I already have 4 beautiful children. I am happy that it wasn't anything worse and I am scared, too, for many reasons.

It explains a lot of things though, my periods, my weight gain and even my sudden onset of anxiety for no apparent reason and a few other things too.
So now I have a referral to a gynecologist and I will go from there.
Wish me luck
