We really don't have that many animals, I mean, there's the cat, the dog, 2 axolotls (1 black, 1 white), a goldfish (the other 4 died :| ), a boarder, my partner and the 4 children. So an extra really wouldn't make much difference would it? At least it is one of the easier animals to look after! You make sure it has food, water and play with it a little each day and your
I'm considering asking for a bird next. I'd really like a cockatiel. I always had budgies as a kid and spent hours training them to be handled and had lots of fun doing it. I think a cockatiel would be much more fun, although I'm really not sure where I would put it!
You see, I have all these animals and a tiny little house with nowhere to put them! The cat is wherever he feels like, much like the dog but they mostly spend their time outside. The rat is on top of a tv cabinet. One fish tank is on my kitchen bench, the other is in my tiny kitchen/dining area where the fridge is meant to go (the fridge is in my back room) and they are only a 1 foot and 2 foot tank. Everything is cramped. We barely have room to move without having animals aswell.
But what fun would it be if our little family had no pets. There'd be no dramas about the dog chewing things or barking in the night, or no cat jumping on my head in the middle of the night wanting me to let him snuggle under the doona with me (yes he will curl up lying in the crook of my arm like a child if i let him) There'd be no having to clean fish tanks and now rat cages, no changing nappies. . .oh wait that's not the pets! So now I'm sitting here wondering, Why is it I keep buying animals?
That's right. . . cause I'm a sucker for a cute face!
